CNC usually controls mechanical quantities such as position, angle and speed, and switching quantities related to the flow of mechanical energy. The generation of numerical control mainly depends on the appearance of data carrier and binary data operation.
In 1908, the perforated sheet metal interchangeable data carrier came out; At the end of the 19th century, the control system with paper as the data carrier and auxiliary functions was invented; In 1938, Shannon carried out rapid data calculation and transmission at the Massachusetts Institute of technology, which also laid the foundation for modern computers, including computer digital control systems. Numerical control technology is developed in close combination with machine tool control.
In 1952, the advent of CNC machine tools became an epoch-making event in the history of the world machinery industry, and also promoted the development of automation.
Now, numerical control technology is also known as computer numerical control technology, which uses computers to realize digital program control. This numerical control technology uses the computer to control the movement track of the equipment and the operation sequence logic control function of the peripheral according to the control program stored in advance. Because computers are used to replace the numerical control devices originally composed of hardware logic circuits, the storage, processing, calculation, logic judgment and other control functions of input operating instructions can be realized by computer software. The micro instructions generated by the processing are transmitted to the servo drive device to drive the motor and hydraulic actuator to drive the equipment.
CNC machining has the following advantages:
1. Greatly reduce the number of tooling, and complex tooling is not required for processing parts with complex shapes. If you want to change the shape and size of a part, you only need to modify the part processing program, which is applicable to the development and modification of new products.
2. The processing quality is stable, the processing accuracy is high, and the repetition accuracy is high, which is suitable for the processing requirements of aircraft.
3. In the case of multiple varieties and small batch production, the production efficiency is high, which can reduce the time of production preparation, machine tool adjustment and process inspection, and reduce the cutting time due to the use of the best cutting amount.
4. It can process complex profiles that are difficult to be processed by conventional methods, and even process some processing parts that cannot be observed.
